MOBILE, Alabama - The spirit of Halloween is creeping into downtown Mobile. Today, 10/18/09, several Mobile school kids were taking part in a special art fun day at a downtown gallery. The event's sponsored by Space 301. Kids got to draw Halloween masks, paint and draw some other-worldly pictures. Organizers say it's a good chance for kids to enjoy art.“Of course exposure for the Center for the Living Arts but we also want children to participate and realize how fun it is and make it part of their daily lives,” says Education Coordinator Cindy Phillips. The cost is $5 a child. Space 301 will do it again the Friday before Halloween during a downtown showing of the classic movie Dracula.
