Arson Blamed For 17 Fires

Alabama Mobile County  Arson is blamed for as many as 17 fires burning in South Mobile County.

Arson is being blamed for as many as 17 brush fires burning in South Mobile County Sunday.

The first fire started around 1:30 p.m. in Grand Bay. Investigators believe 15 fires in Grand Bay and 2 fires in Seven Hills were all intentionally set. The only property damage reported is an unoccupied trailer on Strickland Road.

Firefighters from Grand Bay, Theodore, Seven Hills, St.Elmo and the Alabama Forestry Commission responded.

Investigators do not have suspect at this time.
