MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Republican state Rep. Robert Bentley of
Tuscaloosa says he is seriously considering running for governor in
2010.
Bentley is a 65-year-old physician who is serving his second
term in the Legislature. He is among several Republicans
considering the race because the incumbent, Republican Bob Riley,
has served two terms and can't run again in 2010.
Bentley says he expects to make a decision early next month.
