Opponents of Mobile Mayor Sam Jones' annexation plan are one step closer to filing a lawsuit challenging the voting lines.

A group of residents and business owners, who say they were excluded from the vote in Theodore and Tillmans Corner, has hired an attorney. Tonight, they will meet to discuss the next step.

The meeting begins at 7pm at the Nan Gray Davis auditorium.

Parts of Theodore and Tillmans Corner were annexed by the city of Mobile during a special election last month. Critics of the annexation say the city intentionally drew the annexation lines to only include people who would vote favorably for the plan.
