MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - The Alabama Department of Transportationhas reopened the Interstate 10 Welcome Center in Baldwin County
after tests found nothing harmful in a restroom soap dispenser.
The welcome center was closed March 9 because soap in the
dispenser appeared to be a different color than normal and because
the restroom had an unusual odor. Transportation Director Joe
McInnes says the department takes security seriously and closed the
entire welcome center out of an abundance of caution.
The center was closed for eight days before reopening Wednesday.
