Alabama Welcome Center Closed

Florida Alabama  Hazmat crews are investigating a substance found in the men's restroom of the Welcome Center on WB I-10 at the Alabama/Florida state line.

The only thing to welcome drivers crossing the Alabama/Florida state line on I-10 is a sign.

The Alabama Welcome Center on westbound I-10 is temporarily closed while hazmat crews investigate a substance found in the men's restroom.

We'll let you know when they determine whether the substance is hazardous and when the the Department of Transportation gets the green light to reopen the Welcome Center.
