MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Nearly 2 percent of the Alabama National
Guard has tested positive for drugs under an expanded program.
Guard officials say about 6,000 of the Guard's 13,800 soldiers
and airmen have been tested so far and nearly 2 percent tested
positive, primarily for marijuana. The number is slightly higher
than the national figure of 1.5 percent for the nation's active
military.
The National Guard Bureau previously encouraged states to test
20 percent of their soldiers and airmen, but now every member is
supposed to be tested at some point during the year.
Master Sgt. April Garner said testing everyone can give
commanders a complete picture of their units' ability to do
missions.

Shoot, them guys are over there fighting for people like us. I say so what if they smoke a little weed to calm there nerves. At least there men enough to stand in the line of fire to protect all these other major drug users who don’t do a darn thing for themselfs much less the U.S. Weed to my notion has never been the blame of overdose or death? Correct me if I’m wrong plz! I say let them smoke it!!! Start testing all the food stamp and welfare collectors and see how many of them fail a test. It will be much larger than this tiny percent..
