A marine from Escambia County, Alabama gets a special honor in his hometown on July 4th 2009. Corporal Christopher Winchester was killed in Iraq in 2005. For the 4th of July family and friends dedicated this monument to him in East Brewton. Christopher's mom Gail had been spearheading the effort to create the memorial for the last couple of years. The video in this web page consists of pictures she sent to us from yesterday's ceremony. She says it's a chance to honor her son's memory. You can see the story we did on the monument Friday here.
