MONTGOMERY, Alabama - (AP) - The Alabama Supreme Court has thrown out
jury decisions awarding the state more than $274 million from three
pharmaceutical companies.
The court on Friday overturned verdicts against the drugmakers
AstraZeneca PLC, Novartis AG and GlaxoSmithKline PLC
The state had accused the drug companies of manipulating prices
and causing Alabama's Medicaid program to pay too much for
prescription drugs for Medicaid recipients.
The court ruled 8-1 to overturn the verdicts. More than 70
lawsuits were filed in 2005 by the state against drug companies.
The state has settled its lawsuits against 16 of the drug
manufacturers for more than $124 million.

Big pharma is and will continue to be protected. Recently legislation was passed to protect these co’s from lawsuits stemming from complicationS involving the use of untested vaccines on people. There will be no accountability holding them responsible. Justice can be served either through the courts , which isn’t happening , or by the people who aRe the true government anyway. I will bet were a few CEO’s of big pharma placed in a firing squad and sentencing were carried out immediately we would see real science in vaccine and drug testing. We would see a marked increase in safety protocols being administered. What do you think? Same goes for those who commit white collar(BANKING) crimes ruining the lives of millions of Americans. I believe it is time to make change THEY will believe in!!!!!!

Bad decision by the High Court! Of course drug companies overcharge Medicare as well as insurance companies, and more importantly, those who are uninsured.

And we wonder why healthcare is so expensive.

The state sue’s drug companies for over charging medicare, what about the citizens that are over charged?

Justice served?...or distorted?
