I have a few secrets to share that may or may not work for you in terms of savings.  Don’t get married and have children that you will have to raise while they help you run the utilities up each day.  If you are going to have any children at all, make sure it is with a woman who is already married.  Makes it easier to save on the utility bills among other daily expenses.  Will be back possibly with more money saving tips.

Wow jchndlr,how do you do it? I have a family of four. My bill is at least three hundred a month. We have replaced our a.c unit for a more cost effective one, keep it on 75 in the summer, 65 in the winter and a gas stove,drier and hotwater heater. You are doing a grat job.

I cannot complain.  I use $30/month elecrtricity by keepeing my electric water heater turned off every day.  Now maybe I only pay $29/month?  I’ll gladly settle for this decision of theirs.  That will buy an extra can of food some other day!

I am happy to see the power company is coming down some but how much is $4.57 a month truly going to help anyone. I guess we can buy an extra sandwich from subway each month. By the end of the year we can buy an extra tank of gas… Haha.. Well personally in my case I would save roughly a whole whooping $5.80 per month. Woohoo

Well do not be fooled by the 4 percent, by doing the math the above numbers only equal 4 percent if you round the percentage up. To be closer you need to calculate at roughly 3.65 percent.
