MOBILE, Alabama - State Troopers have now identified the two men involved in a late night wreck on Dauphin Island parkway Saturday, 9/19/09. 69-year old Billy Poole of Mobile and 30-year old Chad Cook of Louisiana were taken to USA Medical Center after an SUV and pickup truck collided near the intersection of DIP and Cumberland Road. I was a fireman there on scene ... Thanks to the Mobile fireman and the helicopter paramedic/firefighter that stopped to help! they did a great job and worked well with the fowl river fd and county ems crews…. THANKS GUYS!

I always hate to hear stuff like this. Wear your seat belts and be patient. What is another 5 minutes on your trip when it makes a difference between life and death? Or worse, not dying and suffering for months and months before your body finally gets too septic and finally gives out. As a trauma nurse I have learned that a lot of family members are not ready to say goodbye and they allow medicene and machines to prolong the inevitable. The inevitable will happen, it just takes longer. Please be safe and do everything possible to avoid putting yourself and loved ones in that position…

chad has himself a busy day down on dauphin island yesrterday, give that guy a raise
