Does anyone know if Bo is still in the hospital?  If not is he in jail?  Does Marty still have the kids? What is happening with Jim’s case?

Martie and the kids appear to be doing very well with the situation but as always there are alot of adjustments to be made with change.  There are a lot of scars that only God and time will heal.  As time goes by and the family can truly feel secure and safe again hopefully GOD will give them peace and happiness like they have never known.  I think that often times we forget that an abusive situation can be damaging for a life time, but by the Grace of God I am praying that this family and all families that have been or are in this type situation can become stronger and have the faith and strenghth to speak out and seek help before it is too late.  I realize now that it is not always as easy to get out of this type situation as a normal family may think.  But we need to always remember that GOD can move mountains.  Keep this family and all abused families in your prayers.

caring.. i looked very hard at marti on tv and she looked so at peace and looked so much better that i have seen her look in years.i thank god that she had some family members that is helping her and the kids get through all of this. and i hope that she gets a chance to read all the comments and she how many people is on her side.now maybe those babies can live the kind of life that they deserve to live and not worry about being mistreated.

I wouldn’t think that any woman would want to live in an abusive environment but the more I have heard in town lately the more I have realized that there is a lot more abuse going on in our home town than most would realize.  That is why I wish that more women and children would speak out about their own situations before it is too late.  I realize it takes a lot of grit to walk out on a man that has beat and bluffed you over and over and said that he would kill you and that is the one thing that some of us know nothing about is the fear that some live with every day.

There has been a family member step up and has taken the children in.  The children are doing well and they are back in church.  Martie is living with the children at the family members home.  If you could only see the difference in the children since they are out of that house with their and with their mother with them you would understand things a little different.  This family member took this children in and they didn’t even have clothes.  She had to get clothes for the children to wear so they didn’t have to make the children go back to there house. She is a special person.

Caring,you are entirely correct I have never been in an abusive relationship and would not be in one and will not allow one to exist that I come to know about if it involves children. The children must come first regardless of what the mother thinks or does or the father. My self and the wife has stepped in more than once to see to the welfare of kids involved in being abused by one method or the other. WE’ve raised kids for years at a time at our own expense until the parents could prove to us they were no longer in danger of physical or mental abuse. These adults can make their own decisions regarding each other but these kids need help.These parents seem to be mentally unstable at this time,and that’s not good for the children. This is my opinion from seeing how other cases have turned out when no one has attempted to intervene on the children’s behalf. Some one in the family needs to step up and watch over these kids.

Apparently Carl has never been in an abusive situation. Surely he has not had to witness his own children being abused.  Yes I agree that Martie and the kids need to have counciling for I would never want to be a supporter of her kids lives ending up like the life they have had to live. I am sure that there is some embedded damage in the kids minds and their mother’s for the life style that they have had to live.  I hope that with counseling the kids will realize that they are not to blame with anything that went on in their past and look forward to a more normal and loving future.

I have never said I wished someone was dead,and I have many more years behind me than this young lady.Why would anyone want to wish a family member dead ? I’m starting to believe this family has some serious mental issues which should be taken care of as soon as possible.

Anyone can look at Martie in the picture that was taken yesterday and the one where she was arrested and see the difference and if you think you can see a difference in her you should see the sparkle in the kids eyes.  This is a very sad situation and no one could even imagine the abuse that has taken place in this family’s life unless you had witnessed it.  I can not even imagine watching anyone abuse a kid even if I did not know them.  I can only pray that the people that have been posting comments on this web page in the past will speak out and tell the truth.  I have not heard what happened to Martie’s father in-law in the Malestation Case.

I would like to say that the WKRG reporters appeared to be treating everyone with the same respect and dignity when I was watching them at the courthouse.  They were very nice and I felt that they were only there to do their jobs.  As far as making mistakes in their typing I have been a secretary for almost 30 years and I still make typos from time to time. So lets respect the fact that the TV personnel is only doing their job as reporters and appreciate the fact that they did air the news.
