Some of you may not know him personally, but many of you have tasted his "work."Short URL: http://wkrg.com/a/17051/
The owner of Pollman's Bakery, Charles Pollman passed away.
He started working in the family business when he was 12 years old.
After the military, Pollman found his passion in baking cakes, cookies, and breads.
His son, Fred Pollman, told News Five that baking was his father's passion.
"We had a long history of quality goods and he wanted that name to be, you know, remain strong. And that's why he took his passion of the bakery business -- to 'do it right or don't do it at all', was his motto," said Charles Pollman son, Fred Pollman.
A wake will be held Wednesday night from 5 to 7 at Radney's Funeral Home on Dauphin Street.
The funeral is Thursday morning at 11 at Saint Pius Catholic Church followed by a reception at the Sarto Center.
