Do you know what playing chicken means? When the officer pulled up beside him to try to signal him to pull over he just kept on trucking to see how long the officer would drive beside him. Eventually someone would have had to slow down because another car could have came down the road. Hints the name chicken. See who last longer. Like you said. There is not much traffic on that road. So what other people would he have been pulling over? What he was doing was against the law. Point blank. He should have stopped when he saw the deputy and no one would even be having this conversation right now. Just because you see a clip that took up maybe 15 20 mins of this deputies day does not mean that throughout the rest of his shift he went around finding people on four wheelers to chase. Do you really think every call or incident that an officer deals with is getting drugs off the street or catching a murder suspect? But hey! They do have ride-a-longs. The one’s that think they can do a better job can sign up and see what they really do.

These vehicles are very dangerous. Just recently a young girl in Baldwin cty was killed while riding passenger on one. And that was “off road”. It could have been very bad for this “hick” on road.

yeah i’l do your job if you send me 1/2 your pay. i am sure this type of crime could lead to anarchy in the sticks.

I didn’t see anyone playing chicken. & the man on the 4-wheeler wasn’t driving crazy. why don’t the bored cop go look for someone who was actually doing something worth reporting.

also some one obviously doesnt know the meaning of playing chicken because he would have to be coming towards the cop car and refusing to move out of the way and wanting the police officer to move.

Have any of you driven down this road? there is literally no traffic on this road, and there are 4-wheeler trails all down it. Im not saying he was right for riding on the road, I personally wouldnt want to ruin my 4 wheeler tires by riding on asphault those things are expensive but I agree with dougstech the officer should have stopped once he realized the driver wasnt going to stop, being in a car is different from an ATV, there are no walls to protect you if u wreck. The ATV driver should have definitly pulled over but since he didnt the officer shouldnt have chased him and possibly caused a nasty accident.

Regardless of whether he put the deputy at risk, by playing chicken etc…what about all the other folks lives he put at risk?
