A new book may be on several local teachers reading lists..a Mobile County teacher took part in writing it.
'Teaching Hope: Stories From Freedom Writer Teachers' was released this week by Random House.
It's a book that features writings by Jenni Curre. She teaches gifted classes at Blount and Vigor high schools.
Curre says the book is a window into America's education system. It's raw, true and sometimes not very pretty.
Curre and 149 other teachers from across America and Canada shared their passion and techniques for teaching in this book.
Curre says it's something a lot of people should read. The money made from book sales will go to a scholarship for educators.
