The man who called 911 claiming he was robbing a Foley bank and had hostages said he just wanted money to pay his bills.Dozens of officers surrounded the Wachovia on Highway 59 Tuesday with guns drawn, not knowing the call was a hoax. They evacuated employees and bank customers and spent almost two hours making sure no one was inside with a gun.
Police released the 911 tape of the call hoping someone will recognize the voice.

Operator: 911. What is your emergency?
Caller: Emergency. I'm robbing a bank
Operator: You robbed a bank?
Caller: Yes I'm robbing a bank right now.
Operator: What's your name?
Caller: I ain't giving my name.
Operator: What bank are you robbing?
Caller: Right here in Foley.
Operator: OK, you know how many banks we have in Foley? What bank is it?
Caller: One by the Walgreens
Operator: The one by the Walgreens?
Caller: Yes
Operator: OK.
Caller: I got host. I got hostage.
Operator: You got hostages?
Caller: Yes
Operator: Are you at the bank now?
Caller: Yup.
Operator: What's your name?
Caller: My name is Jack.
Operator: Is it the Wachovia Bank there on the corner?
Caller: Yup.
Operator: How many hostages do you have?
Caller: I got 10.
Operator: You've got 10 hostages?
Caller: Yup.
Operator: Is anybody hurt?
Caller: Nope.
Operator: Nobody's hurt?
Caller: Nope.
Operator: Nobody needs an ambulance?
Caller: Nope.
Operator: What's your name? Can you just give me a name where I can call you?
Operator: I just want me some money so I can pay my bills.
Operator: OK. Alright. I'm going to get you some help. Give me a name that I can call you.
