4 Year Old Starts House Fire

Alabama Mobile Mobile firefighters say the child was playing with a lighter in a closet where the fire started.

Mobile firefighters say a four year old is to blame for a house fire on Dubose Street.

Shortly after 11:00 a.m., a mother hear the smoke alarm go off. When she ran to check it out, she found her three children, a 2 year old and two 4 year olds standing in the hallway. When she saw the closet in a rear bedroom on fire, she got alerted her husband and they grabbed all three kids and got out.

One of the 4 year old later told the father they were playing with a lighter in the closet where the fire started.

The fire caused $8,000 in damage.

o Shut up!! Stuff happens!! there kids, it has nothing to do with bad parenting. No matter how hard you try to be a good parent kids will make mistakes and do stupid stuff

Another case of parents not watching the kids! When is something going to be done about all these parents. At least this time the parents were home.
