The only way to use cable to block off right of ways is to be so low it can only fowl the wheels and no way as to drive under or rap the cable around a log or through a pipe . The best is the steel bar swing arm. I hope your family finds peace.

Private property or not, any cable, wire or other type of gate should be marked with reflective tape or the like.  We had a grown man killed a couple years back in a VERY SIMILAR INCIDENT.  I perfectly agree that that property owner has the right to block off or prevent people from trespassing on their property, HOWEVER, SAFETY OF HUMAN LIFE is more important than simple trespassing.

RIP little one, my condolences to the family and my heart breaks for the grandfather as I cannot imagine what he is going through and will live with the rest of his life.

Thank you all for your prayers for my family. Reading these comments really get you to thinking what type of people we really have in this world and what their main concerns are. To the KxVicious person, the property is own by 4 siblings that has own the property for years, it was left to them by their parents. They were not warned about the wire and everyone has been taking this route for years to ride the ATV or walk and visit the each other. Yes this is a sad situation and we all have the right to our own opinions but times like this is not the time to point fingers. Its a time to let God be in control and pray for the well being of the family

This is to the one’s that did not read the news report. Or have not seem the place where this tragedy happen. It has not been proven who’s property, this happen on. In addition, the wire was tied between a tree and a fence. Not two tree’s. Also the wire that was tied between the fence and the tree, were wire that someone would use, for cattle. Children that ride a ATV on someone else property, is not cattle. I think that a fence would have held the NO TRESPASSING SIGN up, just as good. Some people has a BE AWARE OF DOG sign. These people put the sign up, to inform the trespasser, that there is a dog. Why did these people did not do the same? A sign informing children, that there is barb wire up. Could have save Little London life. And let us all not forget, that this pathway was use by a lot of children. It could have been any of the children, that live around that area, with a ATv
For the ones, that can not understand my grammer, pleae forgive me. I am from the old days. I hope I still made my point.

“How was it booby trapped? Are you saying it should not be a landowner’s right to hang my NO TRESSPASSING signs from a rope or wire tied between two trees? Do you want clothes lines outlawed too? Would you call it “booby trapped” if it had just been a single strand of barbed wire, with NO signs? Last I checked, that is acceptable fencing for a horse or cow.

If anyone should be charged with anything, the grandfather should be charged with manslaughter, because a child London’s age would still be in a booster seat in a car, so why on earth would an ATV be safe….there was a clear danger her placed her in. He should also be charged with trespassing, as he was entering onto someone’s property without permission.”

What is wrong with this post, other than adding one extra S to “trespassing” in the first paragraph? That was clearly a typographical error, as I spelled it correctly in the last sentence, demonstrating my ability to spell the word correctly.

Thank you workinggirl. I think I will take your good advice, and move on. You be very bless. And have a good day.

Mattieb, you sound like a really nice person.  Sometimes you just have to shake the dust off your feet & move on. Don’t feed pearls to swine.

To love proper grammar more than you love a human being. Shows what kind of person you are. As long as a person get theirs point across, it really do not matter how a person speak.  You are truly bless to be so educated. Also, you were so lacking a little proper grammer yourself. On Wed. Oct7, at 4:05 PM.However, it is no biggie, we got your point.
You be bless!!
Good Day.

I love proper grammar more than I love you.

Have a nice day.

Goodbye.

This is to RNuts & KxVicious: Let us agree, that this is a sad tragedy for everyone, but specially for the Family. A child life has ended, and let us all stop pointing fingers. When people start realizing that noting on this earth belongs to us. And that we should LOVE people more than thing. Then that is when, this world will be a better place. May GOD bless us all.
