Mississippi natives 3 Doors Down will return to the Gulf Coast for BayFest 2009.

Hailing from Escawtawpa, Mississippi, 3 Doors Down has sold over 16 million albums with several hits including “Kryptonite,” “Here Without You,” “When I’m Gone,” and “Let Me Go.”

3 Doors Down performed at Mobile Music Festival in 1999 and 2001. They'll headline the Pepsi Stage at this years BayFest on Saturday, October 3.

Local favorites 'Top of the Orange' will also perform on October 3. The band released their debut album Wait and See in 2007, selling out all 1,000 copies in less than two weeks.

3 Doors Down joins a growing list of artists that includes Alan Jackson, Gary Allan, Billy Currington, James Otto, Akon, T-Pain and Steve Miller Band.

The 15th Annual BayFest Music Festival is October 2-4 in Downtown Mobile. Tickets will be available at bayfest.com beginning July 1. Three-day passes are $35. One-day passes are $25 and sold only at the gate. Children 12 and under are free if accompanied by a ticketed adult. Anyone who purchases a ticket at bayfest.com before September 1 will be automatically entered to win a meet and greet with an artist of their choice.

I haven’t been to Bayfest in years - but this may get me down there.  I love 3 Doors Down.
