Mobile Police hope you can help identify a pair of women, wanted for separate crimes.
One woman is wanted for using a stolen check to pay for over $500 worth of purses from the Mobile Belk store.
Store surveillance video shows the suspect buying the purses.
The suspect had a girl with her.
Mobile Police say the check used was taken in a vehicle burglary on June 22nd.

In the second case, surveillance video shows a woman throwing a brick through the glass door of Mobile Beauty Supply on Cottage Hill Road.
The crime only took seconds to complete.
Once inside, the woman immediately goes behind the counter, grabs a box of merchandise, and runs out of the store.
Police say the items were worth $4,000.
If you recognize either suspect, you're asked to call Mobile Police or Crimestoppers at 208-7000. You don't have to give your name and you could be eligible for a $1,000 reward.

My first signal would be purchasing so many handbags at one time. I can’t say I’ve really ever seen a woman purchase more than one or two at once. Espically at those high prices!

ID check ...thats the workers fault I agree they should eat the bill..they should have to pay for it themselfs..how stupid can you be…

Goes to show criminals are much smarter than the ones operating your business!!!

If we were in other parts of the world she would loose those thieving hands and I believe the story would have a decent ending a least she would have a problem writing any more bad checks.

Smason, I agree with you on your juducial system. Recently this judge Herman Thomas was a a bane on your community. Also, Because of the normal race of these thugs, they are released or not dealt with as harshly as the punishment is called for. The punishment should fit the crime no matter who you are. The police should be put back on foot patrol Hire more if necessary. Be tougher on these thugs. Get them off the streets if they have no business there. If this keeps up you will have the national guard in Mobile soon. Maybe marshal law is what you need. What do you think?

That little box was worth 4Gs? What did it have in it? Obviously, ole girl cased the joint first. She made a beeline for that merchandise. They both take Ls for this one. Chickenhead heffas.

Where do you live, Linda? The citizens of Mobile AND our police force are well aware of crime that is ongoing and spreading throughout our city, thank you. Hope you’re not in the surrounding area! What exactly do you propose we do? Take back the streets? Street vigilante justice? Because our police force are supposedly working, if you read the article.

The problem lies within our judicial system. What good is it if these criminals are being arrested time and time again, if only to be let back out?

I agree, retailers should always ask for ID! Clerks will often times disregard this even if write it on the back of your card though.

I wish retailers would stop accepting checks altogether. It is such an antiquated way of doing business and the approval process has more holes in it than swiss cheese, which is evident here!
