Police shutdown I-65 south in Prichard because of an 18-wheeler that caught on fire. Ben Gray, who was a passenger in the 18-wheeler, says a mattress fell off the truck in front of them. Gray says there was no time to swerve to miss it. The next thing they know, the truck is on fire. They pulled over and got out.
Gray says everything in the truck burned up, but his wallet. He found it in the truck after firefighters put the fire out.
The burned 18-wheeler is between Interstate 165 and Highway 45. The drivers were on their way home to Jackson, Mississippi.
