MOBILE, Alabama - It's a big anniversary for one of mobile's most well-known churches. Members of Big Zion AME Zion Church are celebrating the church's 167th's anniversary. They marked the day with a special service. Members also looked at their past, present and future goals.
Organizers say Big Zion has made an impact in Mobile for a very long time.

“167 years of a church still standing, still being able to worship God, still having the impact on the community is wonderful and we're just excited we've made it this far,” says Church member Stefany Gant. Gant says their church was founded on the idea that they should make a difference in the community. Congressman Artur Davis was the special guest speaker.
