Governor’s Tour of Airbus Tanker Facility in Toulouse, France

While Governor Riley was in France for the Paris Air show, he got the chance to tour a facility like the one that could be built at Mobile's Brookley Field. While in France, News 5 got to see the wings that will be fitted on the first KC-30 tanker. Governor’s Tour of Airbus Tanker Facility in Toulouse, France

Right now, there are two places in the world where large aircraft are built. One is owned by Boeing, in Everett, Washington. The other is an Airbus facility in Toulouse, France. If the EADS/ Northrop Grumman team wins an Air Force contract to build tankers, Mobile will be the third. This summer, while in France for the Paris Air Show, the governor, along with Alabama's delegation and News Five toured the Airbus facility in Toulouse.
